Estimating Variance Under Interval and Fuzzy Uncertainty: Case of Hierarchical Estimation

چکیده
Additional problem. Traditional engineering statistical formulas assume that we know the exact values xi of the corresponding quantity. In practice, these values come either from measurements or from expert estimates. In both case, we get only approximations x̃i to the actual (unknown) values xi. When we use these approximate values x̃i 6= xi to compute the desired statistical characteristics such as E and V , we only get approximate valued Ẽ and Ṽ for these characteristics. It is desirable to estimate the accuracy of these approximations.

Determining production level under uncertainty using fuzzy simulation and bootstrap technique, a case study
In every production plant, it is necessary to have an estimation of production level. Sometimes there are many parameters affective in this estimation. In this paper, it tried to find an appropriate estimation of production level for an industrial factory called Barez in an uncertain environment. We have considered a part of production line, which has different production time for different kin...
متن کاملFast Algorithms for Computing Statistics Under Interval and Fuzzy Uncertainty, and Their Applications
In many engineering applications, we have to combine probabilistic, interval, and fuzzy uncertainty. For example, in environmental analysis, we observe a pollution level x(t) in a lake at different moments of time t, and we would like to estimate standard statistical characteristics such as mean, variance, autocorrelation, correlation with other measurements. In environmental measurements, we o...
متن کاملInterval-Valued Hesitant Fuzzy Method based on Group Decision Analysis for Estimating Weights of Decision Makers
In this paper, a new soft computing group decision method based on the concept of compromise ratio is introduced for determining decision makers (DMs)' weights through the group decision process under uncertainty. In this method, preferences and judgments of the DMs or experts are expressed by linguistic terms for rating the industrial alternatives among selected criteria as well as the relativ...
متن کاملA New Extended Analytical Hierarchy Process Technique with Incomplete Interval-valued Information for Risk Assessment in IT Outsourcing
Information technology (IT) outsourcing has been recognized as a new methodology in many organizations. Yet making an appropriate decision with regard to selection and use of these methodologies may impose uncertainties and risks. Estimating the occurrence probability of risks and their impacts organizations goals may reduce their threats. In this study, an extended analytical hierarchical proc...
